It was a very different kind of Wedding, with only the actual Ceremony conforming to the normal pattern of a Wedding, but OMG was it full of fun, chilled, varied and original
We started out with a Clay-Pigeon Shoot organised by the FAB Mike & Paul of http://www.michael-coates.co.uk/ for about 30 guests and in the ground of Broadoaks Country House Hotel itself, which was both surprising and nice
And wow did it rain and blow a gale, so much so I was stood freezing in mud 3″ deep which ruined my leather shoes lol, but, OMG was it fun to watch as EVERYONE thoroughly enjoyed themselves regardless of the weather. Mike & Paul’s teaching was humorous and so relaxed everyone felt at ease quickly and by the end of the shoot everyone had hit at least one clay too = result !!! If you’re looking to entertain your guests pre Wedding then this has to be the most fun you can get without going anywhere !!!
We then had a period of drinkipoos prior to the actual Wedding Ceremony, where Julie & Claire read their own vows and exited by a pre-planned set of dance steps which had everyone cheering & laughing aplenty
Next was more Vodka fueled fun and some close friends doing a couple of songs to a few guests – well that’s what they were originally told. But they did an 11 song medley to ALL the 50+ guests, with a guest singer too as Julie’s Goddaughter. Midway through there was a Meatloaf song with the words cleverly changed to make a story of how Julie & Claire met and to basically embarrass Claire, it worked well lol
My coverage ended as they sat for their Wedding Breakfast, and again without the usual Speeches format – we did nip outside for a VERY QUICK shot of the newlyweds by the illuminated fountain, which Jo (the Wedding Coordinator for the day) was more than willing to turn on for me. And they had the ultimate Wedding Cheesecake, as it was made entirely of cheese !!!
Credit where its due, Jo and her team at Broadoaks Country House Hotel did a most professional job and despite running around at full-speed all day they never were flustered and everything went exceedingly well – its both a FAB place to get married and a FAB place for me to act as a Broadoaks Wedding Photographer too; I am more than happy to be closely associated with them and I already have 11 Weddings booked there for 2016 onwards – feel free to contact me about yours too 🙂
Anyway, enough words, here’s some photos to show what FAB fun we had…
